Have you taken a look at Text Message Marketing?
You have just booked a great entertainer at your nightclub, your chef is preparing the second coming of the Nectar of the Gods or you have an overstock on some great Do-Dads. What do you do? You will want to let your best customers know as quickly as possible and better yet sweeten the deal by offering them a special deal, right?
If words ARE your life and you think the more the better, then keep hammering out those e-mail blasts that don’t get read….less than 10% do these days with only 5% response. As for ROI…what if they came once a month and you could entice them to come twice a month or even 3 times in two months? And you could accomplish this for mere pennies? That would put more money in your pocket and build the loyalty and connection with your customer. It’s easier and cheaper to keep a good customer than go searching for a new one.
Remember, with a text 1) Your customer gets your message right when you send it, where they are and on their phone. No waiting to look at their computer or dig through Facebook and Twitter, and 2) They can make the purchase or reservations right then and there from their phone using a link to your own website landing page.

To be sure, text message marketing isn’t the sexiest thing out there, but your message does get read with a good chance of getting a response. Isn’t that the point?
